Child Abuse is a vicious epidemic in the world right now. Sexual abuse is one of the most heinous crimes to be perpetrated on children. A young victim of sexual assault, buggery, rape, or any kind of sex crime, is usually scarred for life. If proper counseling are not given, he or she will become abusers, homosexual/lesbians and have real difficulty in relating to people.
A group of people want to change the laws in my country to make such an ugly act legal. They say that it should be legal between two consenting adults. But I believe that if this law is changed that persons other than those so-called 'consenting adults' will be hurt. Especially children and women. It is my opinion that those who prey on children sexually will see this as society's consent to their ungodly activities. So called 'straight' men could then forcibly bugger women, girls, boys and even other men, citing that it is sex between consenting adults.
A dangerous precedent is being set here in a time when my country is reeling from a increase of sexual crimes. We Christians and other persons who are concerned about the welfare of our women and children should stand our ground and lobby strongly against the implementation of such laws in our country. This action should be taken even if there are those in Government that are actively lobbying for these laws to be written into the law books. If we don't, we will see God's judgment on this country.
Leviticus 20:13 - "If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads."
